Not sure yet whether to order? Here are factual answers to the questions people ask first: what the test measures, what the subscription involves, and what my own results were.
A test you take at home to have the fatty acids in your blood analyzed. A few drops from the fingertip, dried on a card, analyzed by the independent Vitas laboratory in Norway. Results arrive online in 10 to 20 days: omega 6:3 ratio, omega 3 index, protection value and a profile of 11 fatty acids. To read a report: how to read your BalanceTest results. Wondering about a lab draw instead? See omega 3 test in Canada, at home or at a lab.

The BalanceTest and BalanceOil+ together, by subscription. The second test is sent free after 120 days, if the subscription is active and fully paid.
Your sample is identified by a code, not by your name. Your results are viewed online with that code, not your name. The laboratory states that it destroys samples after analysis.
The kit is delivered anywhere in Canada, from Halifax to Vancouver. BalanceOil+, sold with the test in the kit, is a natural health product licensed by Health Canada (NPN 80119498): the Natural Product Number appears on the packaging and on the official shop page. The BalanceTest itself is a test you take yourself to have your fatty acids analyzed, for information only.

My personal results, published even when they go back up. They say nothing about what you will measure: every blood sample is different.

Yes: it gives your omega 6:3 ratio and omega 3 index as they are today, and a second test then shows how they change.
No. It is an analysis for information only. If you are under medical treatment, ask your doctor before starting a supplement.
