How to read your Zinzino BalanceTest results, line by line
The report arrives online, full of numbers and targets. Here is the order to read it in, what each line means, and a real example: my four reports.
1. Start with the omega 6:3 ratio
The main number: how much omega 6 there is for every omega 3 in your blood. The report's target is below 3:1. For reference, the European average without supplements is 15:1 (over 800,000 Vitas tests). My first report showed 48:1.
2. Then the omega 3 index
The share of EPA and DHA in your red blood cells. The report's target is at least 8%. Read the ratio and the index together: the first compares two families, the second measures an amount. The full definition is in the guide omega 3 index test.
3. The protection value
A marker calculated from several fatty acids, with its target written on the report. On my August 2026 report, it appears as “Fatty acid score”. Read the number and the target shown beside it.
4. The detail, fatty acid by fatty acid
The report lists the fatty acids in your blood (EPA, DHA, arachidonic acid, oleic acid and others), each as a percentage, with its deviation from the target range. This is where you see what drives the ratio: a very low EPA, for example, stands out at once.
A real example: my four reports
| Test | Omega 6:3 ratio | Omega 3 index | EPA |
|---|---|---|---|
| May 2025 | 48:1 | 1.6% | 0.21% |
| September 2025 | 5.6:1 | 5.2% | 1.74% |
| March 2026 | 8.8:1 | 4.9% | 1.22% |
| August 2026 | 3.3:1 | 6.8% | 2.58% |
My personal results, as they are, including when they go back up. They say nothing about what you will measure.
5. Compare with the next test
One report is a snapshot. Two reports 120 days apart, made the same way, show a movement. Compare the same lines, in the same order: ratio, index, then the detail. The next test is part of the subscription kit: see what to know before you order.
A single number is read. Two numbers can be compared.
The subscription kit includes a second test at 120 days, if the subscription is active and fully paid. It is ordered from the official Zinzino shop in your country.
Frequently asked questions
My ratio is above 3:1, what now?
This guide is not medical advice. The report shows the target; for any health question, talk to a health professional, report in hand.
Why can results go back up?
The values reflect the last 120 days: they vary from one test to the next. Compare tests made the same way and, for any health question, talk to a health professional.
Where do I find my report again?
Online, with the anonymous code of your test.
Why do some lines have another name?
Report labels change over time. My August 2026 report shows “Fatty acid score” where earlier ones showed “protection value”.
